This costume was so much fun to make and watch the kids play in. I figured it would be a great way to lighten the 'creepy clown' frenzy that has been going on lately. Once we were finished dressing the kids up and painting their faces we headed over to Mountain View High School for the PD trunk or treat. James and I went to this last year with Isaac and thought it was a lot of fun and safe. This year Sara and I took the kids and once we got there we were shocked at how long the line was. It started at the football field and went all the way to the back of the school. Sara and I were basically last in line and in my head I kept thinking is this worth it? Luckily Sara was a pro at entertaining Ellie and Isaac while I head Jude in line. The line moved pretty slow and we were probably waiting for an hour till we reached the first police candy for candy. Isaac loved it so much and was so good about saying thank you. They had a couple of mascots walking around wearing Halloween suits. Isaac was obsessed and chased one down to give him a high five. He was so proud of himself that he ran back yelling "mom I did it." It was totally worth waiting in line for.
