We arrived in JFK and we were a little worried because the flight to ORD looked full. While we were in the JFK airport James and I decided to get breakfast. We were both a little cranky since we didn't get any sleep. Haha. Breakfast helped for sure. Isaac did awesome the whole time. The only thing I regret was not bringing our stroller.
Turns out the flight was full so we had to fly to BOS to ORD from JFK. So we hopped on a flight and arrived in BOS. The airport was so crowded and turns out all the flights were cancelled to ORD. James and I were a little stressed at this point. So we called up my dad and he helped us out. He booked us a hotel in Boston and we stayed the night in Boston. It was a fun experience. We were able to explore Boston a little and decided that we would never want to live there. Haha. Again Isaac was so awesome through all the traveling.
After our night in Boston we finally made it to Chicago. My dad picked us up from the airport and took us to this yummy hot dog place. It was fun being with my dad. He is so great and I am so lucky that we have a good relationship. We drove an hour to WI and then met Rachel, Jon, Owen, Janice, and Richard for dinner. It was the first time I met Owen and I loved it. It's so fun having him as my nephew.
The next day was Owen's baby blessing. He looked so cute (I wish I got a pic) we had fun mingling and staring at all the babies.
After a couple of hours we headed back to Chicago with my dad. We stopped at this fancy grocery store and bought food to last us for tonight and the next morning. My dad dropped us off at our hotel and left back to Michigan. My dad made this trip possible and we are so very grateful for his selflessness.
