Michigan 2014

Isaac and I were able to fly to Michigan to visit my dad.

Before our flight I kept thinking how excited I was to fly with Isaac and how fun it will be.
I had everything ready for him and I was feeling prepared. It was an early flight so I had to wake up little Isaac. We were dropped off at the airport by my sister. I had my ergo carrier and had both hands free. In one hand I had our huge suit case and in the other I had his car seat. I checked in and went through security with breeze. Isaac seemed very content and I was thanking Heavenly Father for how smooth everything was going. So my plan was to feed Isaac on the flight so he would be sucking on his bottle on the flight to help his ears from not hurting. We were at our gate and Isaac was getting fussy. I took him out of his carrier and everyone around me could not stop staring at him. He was so smiley and then he became tired. I was worried about this part because he would not fall asleep anywhere except his crib. We finally boarded the flight and he was able to eat and fall asleep in my arms.

Isaac and I had a layover in Dallas (three hours) we made it to our gate I fed him and changed his diaper...while changing his diaper there was a lady in the bathroom. She was very loud and speaking in  Spanish. Every time she would talk in Spanish Isaac would start crying. For some reason her loud Spanish was not very pleasant for Isaac. After that we walked around for a little bit and he fell asleep. While at our gate (30 min before boarding) Isaac developed this high pitch scream. I have never heard of this scream before and I was feeling stressed to take him on the flight with this scream. We boarded the flight and I looked around...Isaac was the only child on this flight from Dallas to Grand Rapids. I sat down by a nice man and once I sat down Isaac was screaming. The guy next to me said don't stress I had young ones once too. I was feeling very relieved. He was so nice and same with everyone around me.We finally made it to Michigan and it was so fun hanging out with my dad. We sure missed James though. We were apart for about five days.

We had to stay in Dallas for the night because we missed our connecting flight due to maintenance issues. Isaac was such a trooper.

Finally reunited with daddy.

After our long, fun, adventurous, and tiring trip we were able to pick up Granny Janny from the airport. She came from California to help our family get through my long training for my stay at home job with jetblue. She is a saint and we could not have gone through my four week training with out her. We love you.
